The Chicago Project is LAS’ latest initiative – addressing civil rights issues at a critical time for our city.
Launched in 2026 as a direct response to federal law enforcement actions in Chicagoland, the Chicago Project aims to hold government actors accountable and provide relief to Chicago area residents experiencing civil rights violations, with a special focus on U.S. citizens wrongfully detained by ICE and/or Border Patrol.
How We Help
The Chicago Project serves individuals who have experienced a violation of their civil rights, pursuing remedies at the state and federal level.
Services are free and confidential, client-centered, culturally sensitive, and bilingual (English and Spanish). If you or someone you know experienced a suspected violation of their rights by federal law enforcement, please contact our intake line at 312-986-4105 to be assessed for services and connected with an attorney.
